Any group or organisation requiring a guest speaker may be interested in my illustrated talk 'A Century of Recorded Church Music'.  This is a Powerpoint presentation of music and photographs which takes the audience on a fascinating and unique journey through a 100 years of recorded English Church Music, beginning with the first ever recording.

The slides used in the presentation may be viewed below so you can judge whether or not this will be of interest.

I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and will travel to any destination to give the talk; should you wish to discuss a booking, please contact me.

  • Begins with the first ever recording of an English choir from 1902
  • 67 slides projected onto large screen
  • Musical examples from 20 choirs
  • 7 of the featured choirs no longer exist
  • Rare and unique recordings are used to illustrate the talk
  • Most of these recordings will not have been heard before
  • Rare and archive photographs of each choir accompany the music
  • Many of the photographs supplied by the relevant choirs for this talk
  • Approximately 1 hour long
