HOW THE COMPUTER CATALOGUES WORK
The On-line Discography is extracted from the main computer catalogue.  Each of the Microsoft Access databases are catalogues in their own right, working in conjunction to create the most comprehensive catalogue of choir recordings ever compiled.

DISCOGRAPHY
 CATALOGUE
This catalogues every known recording, whether in the collection or not and is updated with all new releases.  The Discography also catalogues the Audio Visual, Documentary, Photographic and Library Archive of the Collection and is searchable by :

  • Director of Music
  • Types of choir  (Cathedral, Collegiate, Treble Choir, etc)

  • Boy Soprano recordings

CHORISTER INDEX  ;  This unique feature of the Music Catalogue is something of which I am particularly proud.  The Chorister Index is searchable by :

  • Individual Choristers
  • Choirs

Searching for a chorister by name will list every solo, irrespective of length, which he has recorded.  The index also lists any photographs and articles, either written about or written by, that chorister, together with Audio Visual recordings, awards and any other relevant information.  Searching by a choir will list all their choristers, together with the work, who have ever recorded a solo.

CHOIRS IN THE COLLECTION

  • Complete list of choirs
